Dr. Patrick Lee
Patrick is a fully qualified and registered Osteopath and member of Osteopathy Australia. Since graduating, Patrick has completed many post graduate courses including Dry Needling, Pregnancy, and Paediatrics. He is also Level 1 SFMA certified.
Patrick’s journey to becoming an Osteopath started with a fascination in the mechanics of how things work, studying mechanical engineering and industrial design. In his final year he decided this wasn’t the career for him and took a year off to travel through Europe.
Upon returning home, he realised his true interest was in understanding the mechanics of the human body and working with people when he undertook a certificate IV in Remedial Massage at the Australian College of Natural Medicine. This led him to further his studies at RMIT University, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complimentary Medicine) and a Master of Osteopathy.
Also, during this time he completed a Certificate III and IV in Fitness, enabling him to work both as a Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer whilst studying.
Throughout Patrick’s life, he has been involved in both team and individual sports in track & field, cycling (road & mountain), lacrosse, snowboarding and rock-climbing all-over Australia and internationally, and now combat sports (Boxing and Muay Thai).
Patrick is also no stranger to injuries himself, suffering from various injuries in the name of pushing himself to be his best. Although one accident taught him the most.
In 2013, following his passion for rock-climbing he had a severe accident resulting in 2 broken legs and multiple fractures in his back. Taking charge of his own rehab and supporting his wife who also fell, (with the help of his colleagues at Wantirna Osteopathy) Patrick was back climbing and working much sooner than anticipated.
Taking what he has learned from his own experiences, Patrick understands the urgency for individuals to return to their chosen sport or activity and gains extreme satisfaction in helping people achieve their own goals.
