Dr. Troy Maggs is a fully qualified, registered Osteopath and member of Osteopathy Australia and Sports Medicine Australia. He graduated from Victoria University following the completion of a Bachelor and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy).
Troy was first introduced to osteopathy in 2016 as a patient at the clinic and quickly developed a strong interest in how osteopathic care can assist in the management of a wide range of injuries and conditions. After personally experiencing the benefits of osteopathic treatment throughout his own injury rehabilitation, he was inspired to pursue a career dedicated to helping others return to their normal functional activities and achieve their health goals.
During his studies, Troy developed a strong appreciation for the interconnected nature of the human body and the importance of taking a holistic approach to patient care. This perspective has reinforced his commitment to understanding each patient’s individual circumstances and developing personalised management plans that support long-term health, function, and wellbeing.
Sport and exercise have always played a significant role in Troy’s life. Growing up, he played football and cricket while also competing in athletics and cross-country. He continues to play football at a high level and enjoys running and strength training, both of which contribute to his overall health and athletic performance.
Driven by his passion for sport and his ambition to work in the sporting environment, Troy has worked as a Sports Trainer with Bayswater Football Club in 2025 and Wantirna South Junior Football Club in 2026. These roles have provided valuable experience and further strengthened his skills in injury management, rehabilitation, and supporting athletes to safely return to play.
